After breakfast, drive 10 minutes to catch a boat that will take you to Mabamba Swamp. After 40 minutes on the boat, you will arrive and switch to a smaller boat with a local guide to search for the rare and prehistoric-looking Shoebill stork.
Return to the hotel after the shoebill experience for lunch. The afternoon will be at leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel amenities.

Drive 6 hours to Kibale Forest National Park, the primate capital of the world. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal city and enjoy the scenic drive through western Uganda's beautiful landscapes.

In the morning, drive 15 minutes to the briefing point to meet with the ranger. Begin your trek into Kibale Forest to track chimpanzees. Spend one hour with these intelligent primates observing their behavior in their natural habitat.
Tracking Tips:
In the late afternoon, take a guided walk through Bigodi Swamp for a chance to see other primates species, numerous bird species, and butterflies in this rich wetland ecosystem.

After breakfast, drive through local communities and arrive at Bush Lodge for lunch. The journey offers stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains and crater lakes.
Take an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga Channel for wildlife and bird watching. The channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George, attracting large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and over 600 bird species.

In the morning, drive 15 minutes to meet the ranger for briefing and start your walk to the Kyambura Gorge. Here you will have a chance to see chimpanzees, hippopotamuses, sometimes elephants, and other wildlife in this unique underground forest ecosystem.
Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a late afternoon game drive in Kasenyi plains for wildlife like elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas, antelopes, and many more species.

This day is dedicated to driving to Ishasha for morning and afternoon game drives in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. Watch these unique lions lounging in fig trees, along with other wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species.

The drive will take you through the beautiful scenery of the Kigezi region with its famous terraced hills. Stop for lunch in Kabale and continue to the south of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas.

These endangered and playful primates are endemic to the Albertine Rift and are known for their beautiful golden-orange patch on their backs.
